Notice of Retirement from Family Practice

To My Valued Patients,

After much thought and reflection, I am writing to let you know that I will be retiring from family practice as of August 1, 2026. It has been an honour and privilege to serve the Revelstoke community and to provide care for my patients over the past nine years. I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for the many meaningful connections I have shared with you and your families.

Transition of Care and Patient Support
This decision comes as I turn my attention to family health matters that now require my full focus. I want to assure you that I will continue to provide care and support for patients currently receiving substance use and addiction care until a new physician is recruited to assume this role in Revelstoke.

Options for Ongoing Primary Care
For patients seeking ongoing primary care, three family physicians at Selkirk Medical Clinic—Dr. Helen Tang, Dr. Anaelle Massenet, and Dr. Audree Bedard-Goulet—are currently accepting new patients. I encourage you to contact their office if you live in the Revelstoke area or nearby communities to arrange for continued medical care. If you currently reside far from the area, it's best to find care near your new location.

Medical Records Transfer and Access
If you wish to have your medical records transferred to another clinician, please contact my office prior to August 1, 2026. Transfers will be provided at no cost during this period. After that date, all medical records will be placed in secure long-term storage with MedRecords, in accordance with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC’s requirements.
