Lora moved with her family to Revelstoke to be closer to the mountains and all they have to offer. She obtained her medical degree from McMaster Medical School and her family practice residency from the University of Ottawa. Lora has been practising family medicine since 2003 in a variety of urban, academic, and rural settings.  In addition to her medical work, Lora has held multiple leadership and academic roles.

Lora has a special interest in child and adult mental health, addiction, and substance use.
